For high school and college students

To assist young people in making informed decisions about careers in the arts, Utah Symphony & Opera accepts interns whenever possible. Interested high school and college students can explore several facets of arts organization operations, administration, education, development, and marketing, or they can choose to focus on a single area. We offer opera-based production opportunities in the costume shop, the scenic design studio, and stage management.
Students are contracted for 45 hours of work with an individual mentor in the organization. Internships are unpaid, but can often be used for academic credit with schools.
