Professional Outreach Program to Schools (POPS)

The Utah State Legislature and the Utah State Office of Education have created a remarkable program that enriches the lives of schoolchildren in every community in the State. This program is called “Professional Outreach Program to Schools,” or POPS for short, and is funded through the Utah State Legislature and the Utah State Office of Education.

The professional organizations participating in the POPS program bring artists, dancers, scientists, musicians, and thespians into the classroom to work directly with students. There is no cost to the schools receiving these visits because of the legislative appropriation.

Further, every organization participating in POPS brings at least a 100% match of private to state dollars. Thus, schoolchildren all over Utah benefit from the private donations to these world-class organizations.

Utah Symphony & Opera is proud to bring educational, artistic events to students through the POPS program.
